About Us

Y4C is a convening and training space with an aim to invest in open innovation by young people that contribute to both National goals and sustainable development goals. The Y4C hub provides unique value in its emphasis on human centered design (HCD) and challenge- driven approaches where projects are directly linked to solving real challenges facing the society. The Y4C hub is housed at the University of Dar es Salaam College of ICT, and was established in collaboration between UDSM-COICT and UNICEF Tanzania signed on September 2016.

We train youths on how they can apply human centered design(hcd) to innovate sustainable solutions. Allow students to conduct y-talks, organize events such as special workshops, seminars and hackathons. We provide lab space and seed funding to turn ideas into solutions. Y4C hub accepts successful applicants to undertake their practical training at y4c which helps students gain different skills such as Technical, development, critical thinking skills, research and reach workspace experience.
